Harris' Hawk Parabuteo unicinctus The Harris’ hawk, also called the bay-winged hawk, is found in the deserts of the southwestern United States, ranging southward into Mexico and parts of Central and South America. The most social of raptors, it lives in colonies and hunts much like a wolf pack. It frequently preys on animals large enough to share with other hawks in its ‘cast’ or group. Adoption Fee: $100 |
