In March 2008, the Team cleared and mapped the stone ruins from the 1800s dwelling and excavated a test pit. Our findings included a fragmented Coca-Cola bottle on the collapsed stone chimney rubble. The bottle was manufactured between 1910 and 1919, a clue that the site was abandoned in the early decades of the twentieth century. In 2009, the Archaeology Team will have the opportunity to expand the excavations and gain hands on experience and knowledge of the local past.
