Environmental Education Programs
Discover the wonders of the natural world with us! The beautiful and diverse landscape of Callaway Gardens Creates an extensive greenbelt along the northern slope of the Pine Mountain Ridge in Pine Mountain, Georgia. This area provides an excellent setting for a lovely garden and dynamic educational programs! The Callaway Gardens Education Department is ready to help you plan Education Programs (field trips) for scout groups, school associations and day care facilities. The Spring 2010 Environmental Education Catalog will assist you in scheduling your visit. Applications for Spring visits are now being accepted. Education Programs are scheduled on a first requested, first scheduled basis and dates usually fill by April. A Program Application must be received the the Education Department in order to schedule dates. Groups scheduled through the Education Department will be given priority over all non-scheduled groups in all facilities and guided programs. Student groups visiting Callaway Gardens in 2010 will be charged an Education Fee of $3.50 per student (regardless of age), teacher or parapro and $8.50 per additional adult. Guided programs carry an additional fee. Please see catalog for additional information. If you are unable to come to Callaway Gardens, we are also offering several Outreach Programs where our expert Educators can come to you. Please see the Outreach section in the Environmental Education Catalog for further details.
